But you don't have to have a soundcard that supports Soundfonts (which would only be a Creative or EMU card) to use them. You can buy, and even download for free, software programs that will allow use of soundfonts. For instance, the free soundfont player VST plugin sfz www.rgcaudio.com.

I think not, the card in question is the Creative Audigy 2 ZS PCMCIA card. I have one I can't use yet :-( The kernel locks hard when ALSA tries to load the driver.
